Origins

Greek Legend states that Amethyst got it's colour when Bacchus, the Roman God of wine, poured grape juice over a pure white stone.  Purple has always been a widely favoured colour of royalty which has seen Amethyst used in the jewellery of many countries, including the British Crown Jewels.

2. Clean your Amethyst jewellery using shop bought jewellery cleaner or with mild soap and warm water, scrub gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse in warm water and dry using a soft cloth, a sonic cleaner can also be used.
